Procedures » Eyelid (Blepharoplasty)

The area around the eye is not protected from the effects of gravity and time. With age, the eyelid skin becomes lax, which gives the appearance of fatigue. Combined with the descent of cheek fat, dark rings under the eyes may appear.

If you have developed excess skin or puffiness in the eyelids, are a non-smoker, and healthy enough for surgery, than you may be a candidate for blepharoplasty.

By making incisions in the upper eyelid via a natural skin crease, the excess skin can be removed and extra fat excised. Likewise, the lower eyelid can be addressed through a incision below the lashes.

These procedures are often performed in conjunction with a browlift, or possibly a midface lift. Dr. Gordley will create a comprehensive treatment plan for you.
